Resulting from the splintering and collapse of several bands and relationships in late 1999 around the epicenter of Central Ohio, "om" was created as a personal outlet and vehicle for expression for a single mind, heart and soul. This is the culmination of years of growth and alienation, embrace and disillusionment, and is the sole vision of Nick Bain.
The music draws on a variety of interests and influences, resulting in something familiar and organic yet new and technical. These elements are everything in the human experience - music, emotion, fate, faith, spirituality, relationships, TV, film, literature, philosophy, etc. This is an always evolving vision - the result of despair and joy, and a search for peace, truth and release, with an urgency toward the expansion of awareness and consciousness by sheer force of will while maintaining a completely honest and naked approach to the feelings and thoughts of the human condition.
